If you look at the video Like I have
You’ll see them all lined up Right in front
Little wee kids in jackets hats and mittens
all following the rules
That guy who hit them didn’t
He crashed into a Christmas parade
Murdered kids and then shook his head
I don’t care what color you are
when you do that, I get livid
Making me recall all these recent times
When more police might have mattered

Refund the police
Add more police
Add more police support
Add more for police and peace officers Everywhere
Refund police because unlike all them kids
Who followed the rules
There are Far too many others who break laws

When I first said Black Lives Matter
It was 2012 and we had a Black kid dead
Holding candy and broken tea/lemonade
Killed by a neighbor who didn’t identify himself
And what we meant then
And what many still mean
Is that life matters and is valid
Has value and should be fought for
Life threats should be challenged

And do you know for a moment
A movement was birthed that
saw every kid as the same
And in some cities BLM still operates that way
But nationally and globally, they stay in Malibu
They rock warfare and possibly some RICO
but ain’t no one looking
Particularly at how protest tactics now being
Used for smash and grabs
As if Black people didn’t still shop at Macys

Refund the police and you know bring it back
To where there are even more police
And now that we had some conversations
Let’s go ahead and have many more
Because we don’t need constant attacks
By racist and troubled 12 year olds to drive
So much of people’s hatred and anxiety
People be scared and they should be
But we gonna pray
and raise up heaven here on earth
We will fight for every kid to live

See them all lined up Right in front

Remember them and those who protect them
Pray peace and protection upon them
Like I do when I’m always Black
and pulled over for a traffic stop
I pray for me and for them
But my Black dad is a real
Peace officer and every officer
He ever introduced me to
Would save my life without thinking twice.

Many a BLM organizer
Wants to believe they fight for the brave in blue
As much as men who die by racist hands
But you know how much the media
gets to control A narrative
It'll be up to them Global types to decide
Whether all life is what they fight for
Or if Black Lives Matter
some day seems the complete opposite

Here for me
I’ll lay it down
Refund the police cause kids forever
lost their jackets hats and mittens in Waukesha
Refund the police cause Astroworld
Had 5 hundred officers for 50k attendees
Refund the police so someone stops
these stabbings in the streets
Refund the police so more go looking for
The too many lost and bring some families peace

Refund the police because when a world needs help
Is not when the police should go missing
